Then we'll fly kites. It should be easy with weather like this.

[He pauses for the moment, trying to think of a memory that he hasn't shared with anyone else.

... Well, that's the easy part, he's a private individual by nature. He doesn't tend to share anything in the first place. But when he does, its definitely the opposite of Shouto's storytelling skills.]

When I was a child, I lived in Japan. They have wonderful summer festivals there, not just for Tanabata but for almost every day it feels like, and my mother and I went to one near the end of it. While she was trying to catch a goldfish for me I ended up wandering off into the crowds and was swept away.

She ended up finding me sleeping on a bench outside of the shrine -- I guess I didn't like the crowds or something, I don't really like them now either -- and the first thing I asked her once she woke me up was if she'd caught the goldfish.

[See, it's not a terrible memory, it's kind of palate cleansing after Shouto's and he laughs.]

She hadn't, but she was pretty upset at me. I used to cause a lot of trouble for her.

[Shouto's storytelling skills are terribly lacking. This sounds more like an actual story than a series of things that happened to occur.
